As we informed you in December, the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA) will discontinue its financial support for Kotimajoituksen tuki ry.
This will of course have a major impact on the association’s operations. The contracts of two employees ended in January, and one employee will continue through the spring, for example to close down the activities previously carried out by the association’s staff.
Regardless of whether the association continues with volunteer efforts, home accommodation activities will continue through the Home Accommodation Network, as well as outside of it. Many people are seeking home accommodation, and the demand will not disappear because of STEA’s decision.
On March 7th, we will gather at our office in Helsinki to reflect on the future of the Home Accommodation Network and its supporting association. How do we continue our activities and communications? How do we divide responsibilities, and what kind of network do we want to promote
The meeting will take place in Helsinki from 11:00 to 15:00, and it includes a lunch provided by the association.
